Sustainable Raw Materials and Animal Welfare

We use high-quality raw materials for the production of our food. Respect for animals, as well as dignified and responsible breeding, husbandry, and slaughtering methods, are a matter of course for us and are prerequisites for working with our suppliers at home and abroad. It is of central importance for us to know the origin of all raw materials and the ecological and social conditions of their production, and to positively influence them.

Our 2030 Ambition

We are increasing the sales share of products with organic and/or other sustainability labels by 15%.

We are building a system for sustainable supply chain management.

All our suppliers have signed the ORIOR Supplier Code of Conduct.

We will increase sales of vegetarian and vegan products by 20%.

Our Supplier Code of Conduct is an integral part of our general terms and conditions of purchase. It defines minimum ethical, environmental, and social requirements for our suppliers and is based on the core values of ethical conduct, open communication, and responsibility. The Code covers business conduct, human and labor rights, climate and environmental protection, and governance, taking into account legal requirements in Switzerland and the EU, as well as international guidelines such as the ILO core labor standards and the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights.

ORIOR attaches great importance to product safety and ensures that food products meet the highest standards. At the same time, we promote the well-being of consumers with high-quality, healthy products. Ingredients are carefully selected and optimized to ensure a balanced nutritional offering.

Our 2030 Ambition

We will reduce the number of self-inflicted
complaints per 100t of products sold by 10%.

All our production sites are covered by an internationally recognized food certification.

We are reducing the salt content in the total sales of our products by 10%.

We are reducing the sugar content in the total sales of our products by 15%.

How we act

Promoting healthy eating

We continuously optimize our recipes from a nutritional perspective, reducing fat, salt, and sugar content and, where possible, avoiding artificial additives. We also improve our processes in the manufacturing method to retain valuable nutrients and vitamins from the raw materials in the final product.
