Why ORIOR

Good reasons for ORIOR

ORIOR offers a motivating environment where people can take on responsibility, develop further, and make a difference together.

Size, Diversity and Short Distances

ORIOR combines the advantages of a strong group with companies that work close to the operational business and function like SMEs. With around 2'300 employees, we are broadly positioned and offer reliability as well as diverse perspectives.

At the same time, you will experience an environment with short decision-making processes, direct exchange and lively collaboration. Our companies are located throughout Switzerland as well as in Germany and Belgium. This opens up diverse insights and development opportunities for you – in a professional and uncomplicated working environment.

Scope for Personal Initiative and Responsibility

In your role, you have freedom and responsibility. You can contribute across departments; communication is open and straightforward – even across organisational boundaries.

Structures provide orientation and remain adaptable, while decisions are made close to the issues and enable impact. The contribution of ideas is expressly encouraged and valued.

Dynamics and Relevance

Our way of working is characterized by personal responsibility and good daily dynamics. You drive topics forward, set priorities, and actively shape the further development of processes and organisation. You have the necessary freedom to implement solutions pragmatically. We work grounded, direct, and at eye level.

We use a first-name basis (Du-Kultur) across all functions and levels. Communication is open, uncomplicated, and straightforward, so you always know where you stand. At the same time, Food & Beverage is at the heart of our work – an area for which we have a clear passion and which offers a direct connection to everyday life.

Development Through Practice and Targeted Promotion

At ORIOR, your professional and personal development takes place primarily through practical experience – in your daily work, in new tasks, and through interaction with colleagues. In addition, we specifically support training and further education if it suits your role and your development within the company.

Depending on your role and the company, there are different possibilities – from internal training to external continuing education. This is based on a group-wide coordinated training and development guideline that provides orientation and at the same time allows for different needs within the individual companies. This creates a reliable framework for your development at ORIOR.

Application Process

Your Way to Us

Our application process provides guidance, even if it may take a little longer depending on the situation. We take the necessary time to carefully review your application.

Office and Specialist Functions

This is how your application process for specialist and administrative roles at ORIOR works

1. Submit Application

You apply online via our job portal and submit your documents directly through the application form.

2. Review of your documents

We will review your application and discuss it internally. Depending on the position, this may take some time – but we will keep you updated.

3. Initial Consultation

During the initial meeting, usually via video call, we get to know each other. You'll gain insight into the role, the team, and the work environment. If we both make a good impression, we'll take the next step together.

4. Further Exchange

After the initial conversation, we get to know each other personally on-site in a second step. We delve into specialist topics, clarify open questions, and you get an insight into the premises and the working environment. Depending on the role, a business case may also be part of the process to give you the most realistic picture possible of everyday work.

5. Commitment

If both parties are a good fit, you will receive an offer and all further information for your start at ORIOR.

Production

Your application process in
Production

Starting production is often direct and hands-on. It's important for us to quickly get a clear picture – and for you to do the same.

1. Application or Initial Contact

You are applying for an open position, sending us an unsolicited application, or being recommended by someone we know.

2. Review and Feedback

We will review your documents and get back to you. If there is currently no suitable position available, we will gladly keep your dossier with your consent for a limited period and consider you for future opportunities.

3. Trial Work

In many cases, we invite you directly to a trial day. This way, you get to know the job, the team, and the work environment firsthand and gain a realistic insight into daily production operations.

Working in production is varied and relevant, but also demanding. Depending on the area, it can be cool or a bit noisy, and working with raw materials and spices brings with it a wide range of smells. In return, you are close to the product and make a direct contribution to the production of our specialties.

4. Commitment

If it's a good fit for both sides, we'll discuss the next steps for your onboarding at ORIOR.
