ORIOR and the Science Based Targets initiative
ORIOR has committed to reducing its greenhouse gas emissions in line with science-based climate targets. Our emission reduction targets are aligned with the 1.5°C goal and the aim of achieving net-zero emissions by 2050.
Our commitment to science-based climate targets
Climate change requires rapid and consistent action. By committing to the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), ORIOR ensures that its targets are aligned with the latest scientific evidence.
The SBTi is a global corporate climate action organization that supports companies in setting greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions reduction targets in line with the Paris Agreement goal of limiting global warming to 1.5°C and reaching net-zero by 2050 at the latest.
ORIOR has committed to implementing short- and long-term, company-wide emission reduction targets across the entire value chain. The baseline year is 2022.
Overview of our targets
| Scope | Near-term targets (by 2035) | Long-term targets (by 2050) |
| Scope 1 and 2 | –63.0% (4.8% p.a.) | –90.0% |
| Scope 3 FLAG | –45.5% (3.5% p.a.) | –72.0% |
| Scope 3 Non-FLAG | –63.0% (4.8% p.a.) | –90.0% |
In addition, ORIOR commits to deforestation-free supply chains, ensuring that relevant raw materials do not come from land deforested after 31 December 2020.

Validation by the Science Based Targets initiative
ORIOR’s near- and long-term emission reduction targets were validated by the Science Based Targets initiative in summer 2025 and officially approved in September 2025. This confirms that ORIOR’s targets are aligned with the 1.5°C pathway and the Science Based Targets initiative Net-Zero Standard.
